After you get eight hours of sleep, do you still feel tired, ache, and you know you have been sleeping on that same mattress for seven years? A new mattress may be in store for you if any of these statements ring true. Replacing an innerspring mattress is a pain today only because of all of the options you have. Where do you start when you hear about all of the different spring counts, spring shapes, and topper options that are available to you.

Hopefully by the time you walk into the store you will know what size mattress you need. You will need to consider how firm your mattress needs to be. It has been recommended that stomach and back sleepers look for a firmer bed.  Side sleepers should aim for a softer option. Some people recommend you lay on the mattresses for a minimum of fifteen to twenty minutes when it is in the store. In this amount of time you can begin to see if you get pressure points or start to get achy.

Find a mattress that has extra springs around the edge or have edges that are built up. The edges of beds that have been reinforced are less likely to break down over time. Firm edges also help keep you from feeling you are falling out of bed when you are sleeping. You will find that there is less wear and tear on your bed this way.

You probably will want to shoot for a coil count of about 600 to 800. You will have to decide how much your partner moving in bed disturbs your sleep. If your partner doesn’t move much you may wish to consider a continuous coil bed. A single wire is used to create continuous spring mattresses. Over all these types of mattresses are more firm but any movement is transmited through the bed. If you partner tosses and turns, you may wish to consider an individual coil mattress. The coils not being connected allows the movements to be more isolated compared to the continuous spring mattresses.

Personal preference is the main deciding factor in what the top of the bed is made from. Everyone has a different opinion on what his best here. Some people like high lofted quilt tops while other like just a simple mattress. The one thing you may wish to look into is if you have a latex allergy make sure to check into what the padding is made from or you may not enjoy your bed much at all.

Over all purchasing a bed is a completely personal experience.  What one person likes another won’t. Try to find a store that will allow you to exchange your mattress if you don’t like it for a month or two. You can really determine if the mattress will work for you if you sleep on it for 30 days.

There will be several things you will have to do in order to set up your campsite if you are going camping – after all, the experience of camping is as big a part as the act of camping itself, and it will be worth it to make sure you take the time to set up everything properly. When most people think of camping, a fire is one of the first things that comes to mind, but if you are simply spending the night somewhere before getting up in the morning and heading on your way, there is no need to build a fire – and in fact, building a fire will be a waste of time, as the main thing you will want to do when setting up a quick camp is get some food into you and then get to sleep.

It will, however, be important that you still get a good night of sleep – especially if you will be getting up in the morning and hitting the road again – so take the time to set up your tent, and if your tent has a rainfly, make sure you put this on as well, and then you can put your air mattress or foam pad in your tent and get a good night of sleep without worrying about the elements.

You should treat the rest of your camping night (that is, everything outside of setting up your tent) as “car camping,” which means that everything else you need should stay in your car – coming out only when you need to use it. You will be able to save both time and effort in this way, while still getting a full, comfortable night of sleep – without having to spend much money, and without having to take up too much of your time!
